CV Shaft installation do's and dont's 06-05-2004
Don't use pneumatic tools
Do Mark all components before removal
Don't remove both axles at the same time(alignment of gears will be lost)
Do use a torque wrench when installing axle nuts
Don't use a hammer
Do Handle ABS CV axles with caution
Do compare replacement to the original
Don't raise a vehicle on the frame contact lift support without supporting the suspension
Do inspect wheel bearings
Don't strike frozen axles with a hammer to remove them.
Do check motor/transmission mounts. Broken mounts can affect drivetrain alignment.
